The last time celebrated Indina Bangla actress Rituparna Sengupta came to Bangladesh was in April for the promotion of film ‘Ekti Cinemar Golpo’. Now this actress is returning to Dhaka once again.
The actress is coming to Dhaka to participate in the movie launching ceremony of an upcoming Bangladeshi film titled ‘Jam.’ Rituparna arrived in Dhaka yesterday and scheduled to attend the launching ceremony of the film today at Dhaka Club at 11:30pm, the actress confirmed.
She will return to Kolkata on July 24. The film will be directed by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul. Its main concept was given by late Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury while the story was jointly written by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul and Shelly Manna, wife of late popular Dhallwood actor Manna. Pantho Shahriar has written its script and dialogue.
The film will be produced under the banner of Kritanjali Chalochittro-a production house founded by actor Manna.About working under Kritanjali Chalochittro – a production house founded by actor Manna, Rituparna said, “I had a family relationship with Manna Bhai. While working with him I had built up that relationship.
Now Manna Bhai is not alive but I have continued communication with Shelly Bhabi. She is a nice person. I have talked with her regarding the new movie ‘Jam’, which is to be produced under the banner of Manna Bhai’s production house. I have high possibility to work in this movie. Let me attend the launching ceremony of the film first. Let’s see what comes next.”
About casting Rituparna in his movie, director Nayeem said, “Rituparna will be seen in a role of a lawyer. Her character, though it will not be the lead, will play a significant role in the film. We are expecting to start shooting the film from October.”
In last Pahela Baishakh, Rituparna acted and Alangir directed movie ‘Ekti Cinemar Golpo’ was released in Bangladesh. During promotional activities of that movie Rituparna stayed in Dhaka for some days at a time. With Manna Rituparna acted movies like ‘Jummon Kosai’, ‘Ronagon’, ‘Killer’, etc got popularity among the viewers.
